ethically made in Bali
At the heart of every piece of swimwear lies a story of craftsmanship, sustainability, and ethics.
At BORNEO PARIS, we take pride in the creation of our swimwear, with an unwavering commitment to ethical manufacturing, sustainable practices, and unparalleled quality.
We have written about other aspects of our supply chain, but now we're talking about the actual cutting and sewing. The conversion of fabrics into garments. We'd like to share the journey of our swimwear manufacturing in Bali, and how it aligns with our core values.
Why Bali?
Bali is considered a hotspot for swimwear know-how. Bali's artisanal craftsmanship, rich heritage, and a community of skilled creators have converged to create a perfect environment for producing swimwear that epitomizes grace and timelessness.
Sustainable Practices at the Heart of Our Production
The heart and soul of our swimwear lie in the very way it's made. We have made a steadfast commitment to sustainable practices that reflect our love for the environment and our dedication to ethical manufacturing.
You can read more about ethical manufacturing here.
Moreover, with every order we make, our supplier donates part of their proceeds to those in need via SOS Bali.
Quality is Non-Negotiable
Timelessness and elegance go hand in hand with exceptional quality. We believe that the pursuit of quality is the pursuit of sustainability. By overseeing our manufacturing process in Bali, we can guarantee that each piece meets our exacting standards. Quality control is our promise to you, assuring that our swimwear is designed to stand the test of time, offering you enduring beauty and style.
Logistics: A Work in Progress
Currently, we've chosen Bali as our manufacturing hub. The reason is simple: our very limited production numbers align perfectly with the reduced environmental impact of our suppliers' sustainable practices. However, we're not blind to the additional environmental cost posed by shipping our products over long distances.
As a brand dedicated to sustainability, we're taking this issue to heart. While we're considering alternatives closer to home to minimize our environmental impact, we're also adamant about not compromising on the quality and practices that define our swimwear.
We are a work in progress, and logistics is an area where we are actively looking to improve. Rest assured, we are committed to taking action to address this challenge in the near future.
